I was putting the guineas away this evening, and I noticed that Sammy wasn't with the others. First I thought maybe he got out of the barnyard and was wandering around, but then Dad and I started looking around in the barnyard for him.
I walked down by the pond and saw feathers down by the water. Sure enough, there was Sammy lying there right below the plank that goes over the pond. No injuries apparent on his body. Looks to me like he broke his neck... though Mom thinks he might've died from heat exaustion. :(
Sam was my best guinea as far as pet guineas go. He was the friendliest, too. He was my little buddy -- my barnyard pal... my most intelligent guinea! :(
Oh well, at least I still have his twin brother, Adam.

Video of a Census Worker
Last Saturday my Aunt Linda came over, her daughter Tamara and her family (husband and 2 litlte boys) came also. My Uncle Don was coming over to pick up some wood, so everyone just came along. Needless to say, I had my hands full babysitting 4 year old Matthew and 1 year old Timothy. I had a hard time keeping Matt occupied!
Levi and Megan are supposed to be coming for a visit this Sunday. At least, they're supposed to get here sometime Sunday night, and staying Monday and Tuesday. :) That will be nice to see them again! I just saw them when I was up in WV, but Mom and Dad haven't seen them in quite a while. It's a shame that Dad just went back to work. They should've planned it to come down when he was still on his vacation.
Speaking of taking pictures...
I was out in the barnyard the other day trying to practice my self portraits, and this strange car came up the driveway. Well, Mom and Gabriel went out of the barnyard to see who it was, while I rushed to the barn to get the tripod off of my camera. Anyhow, when I got back up there (camera still around my neck), I found out it was a Census worker, coming to try to fish some more information out of us -- even though we'd already filled out the paper with how many people were in the house and sent it back.
Well, I got the whole thing on video. :D I turned my camera on real quick and hit the record button as soon as I got up there. lol. I uploaded it to my youtube channel... not sure how to embed it into the post... so here's the link if anybody wants to see it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0MkwLspGgw
He was showing us a paper (which he claimed was ours -- but it wasn't. We'd already sent our paper back in). It had the name Joan on it, and the number of people of 7.) What I'd like to know, since he was showing us some paper that wasn't ours, is what happened to the correct paper that we filled out and sent back in??? Strange...

^^ A picture my Aunt Mel sent to me. She took it when I was up in WV, the day we went on that long bike ride. Can anyone tell I love taking pictures? :P

Yeller Jackets
If there's any bee I don't like, it's got to the the yellow jackets. We were down by the waterhole today, since Dad was digging it out with the backhoe so it would hold more water, and we had to cut down a few small trees so we could turn the backhoe back around. Well, Mom had come over to help us and passed by the front bucket of the backhoe, and something stung her on the hand. So we went inside to put something on it. I came back down and went right by the spot where Mom got stung, and something bit me on the ankle! OUCH! Come to find out, close by where Mom and I were standing was a yellow jacket nest! :-O I'm sure glad we didn't step on the nest and get stung and bitten more! One time's enough for me! :)
These here are two turtles I caught with my pond net while Dad was cleaning out the hole. Not regular turtles though. They're snappers (snapping turtles). Not exactly the kind I'd like to have in the water holes! We were going to get rid of them, but I decided to take them out the road {in the bucket... on my bike. That was one bumpy ride!} and drop them off by a small creek... except the creek is dried up. Oh well.

^^ Dad cleaning/digging out the waterhole, and the new tank in the barnyard. ^^
This is Goldie, my most friendliest hen. :) I finally got around to getting a picture of her, but it's a bit blurry because she wouldn't hold still. :P She really wanted to check out my camera up close!

Just a short update!
What to post about... what to post about? Hmmm, that's a tough question! :P
I was working on some more Scripture wallpapers this morning for Thy Word Forever, and I got about 3 new ones done, I believe. There's still a couple more requests to do, but I just hadn't had much time to make any new ones lately. I did this morning though, so that was good. :)
One of them that I did was Philippians 2:4-5, then the other ones were Philippians 3:14 and Psalm 27:1.
Yesterday I finally got to go to the Wood's house to see my friends, Elisabeth, Noah, and Matthew. :D That was really fun! I only took 5 pictures though... 3 dog pictures and 2 of a chicken. Hopefully next time I'll carry my camera around with me so I can take more photos! :D I did have a good time though!
That's one of my guinea males, Blackfeet. I call him Blackie for short. :) We named him that because he actually has black feet. :P

Tagged!
I was tagged a while back by Jessica @ Walking By Faith, and I just never got around to doing it. I figured since this is a new blog, I might as well go ahead and do it now! :D (Thanks for the tag, Jess!)
The tag:
The rules are: Please tag eight people and do not tag the one who tagged you. And if you would not like to answer a certain question, simply change it to one you like and answer that.
1-What song are you currently listening to a lot?
I've been listening to the Psalm 119 Scripture songs that I found on the internet.

Well, not currently reading any book at this present moment (today :P )except my Bible, though I do have several I need to get started on. :)

12-What was the last meal you ate?
Last meal... let me think.. burritos! (And I probably didn't spell that right..)

The only other "language" I know is Pig Latin, and I'm fine with that!
14-Five things you can’t live without

My little animal friends :)
My camera... and computer
15- Find the closest book to you, and flip to page 54. What is the first sentence in the 2nd paragraph?
While our days on earth are lengthened,
May we give them, Lord, to thee:
Cheered by hope, and daily strengthened,
May we run, nor weary be,
Till thy glory
without a cloud in heaven we see.
May we give them, Lord, to thee:
Cheered by hope, and daily strengthened,
May we run, nor weary be,
Till thy glory
without a cloud in heaven we see.
16-What is something you would like to say right now?
I'm not going to tag anybody, but if any of ya'll want to do the tag, go right ahead! :D

Howdy!
Well, since I got myself a Gmail account/email I figured I might as well make a blog here as well. :) It might be kind of nice to have a private sort of blog where only your friends can read it, so you can actually post what you're thinking. :)
I wonder if there's any way to make these text smilies turn into real smilies on blogger.. it did it automatically in my WordPress blog. :P
I don't reckon I need to introduce myself.. lol. I'd say anybody I invite to read this blog probably already knows me. :D

My Trust from my Youth
In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.
